>>> REEL BREAKDOWN <<<
Segment 1: Happy Halloween
I created this Ghostie animation in Blender for Halloween. I had fun expanding my knowledge of volumetric lighting, shape keys, and rigging within Blender. I had drawn up some basic simple expressions I wanted the ghosties to exude, along with creating the appearance of them traveling upwards through the ether worlds!
The text effects were done in post with After Effects.
Segment 2: Woman Biker

While riding bikes with my girlfriend one day, when I was inspired by the simple movements and gestures to create a bike animation. I wanted to portray her as free and liberated on the trail.

Segment 3: Wizard Cat

I had designed this cat character and saw him walking upon this vast landscape. I digitally painted the background matte and created character key poses in PS, and brought into Blender to finesse and in-between. Last, compiled into After effects to add sound.

Segment 4: Wheelman: Vin Diesel and his cool shades

A cinematic clip from the game Wheelman. I worked solely on the animation for this project using motion capture data for the basis of most scenes. I cleaned up the data to fit the rig and refined the animation for the final shots.
Segment 5: ePlata - Send Money

A segment from an animated commercial I created for ePlata. This segment was to highlight the Send and Receive Money features along with the in-app communications engine and global nature.  I was solo on this project acting out roles such as script writer, storyboard artist, character designer, director, editor..etc The commercial was later edited, re-scripted, expanded, and presented in a government financial conference in Mexico City.
Segment 6: Leap splash
Hand-drawn animation in Blender's Grease Pencil. I explored the physics of both a leap and splash.
Segment 7: Unfortunate Tumble
Revisited the flour sack on this hand-drawn animation. I had no intention on him falling until suddenly while drawing I saw that he was. Then it became an exercise in the dynamics of what a flour sack bouncing and tumbling might look like.
Segment 8: Walk the Dog

Another illustration turned into an animation. Created this during a harder week of the Covid era. Wanted to create and push emotional contrast of the parts of me that are happy and excited daily to get up and create while there is part of experiencing exhaustion and despair with the daily current affairs.
Segment 9: ePlata - Convert/Send

Created in After Effects for the emerging banking app, ePlata. The animation was to highlight one of the app features--converting currency-- while following the flat color and icon-driven branding style.
Segment 10: Forest Hip Hop
Created for Instagram's Monday Challenge. The theme was hip hop, so I brought it to the forest. Made in After Effects.

Segment 11: Joe Dispenza quote

Kinetic typography animation inspired by speaker Dr. Joe Dispenza on science and consciousness.
Segment 12: Sneak walk
3D animation using Maya using a model and rig I developed.
Segment 13: Mycelial Network
Created using Blender's Grease Pencil. Explored some of it's possibilities layering several animated object planes in 3D space to create the illusion of parallax. This allowed me to recycle assets to easily give a full feel in less time.
Segment 14: Sex History with Jada - Main Intro
Hired on to help create the YouTube channel, Sex History with Jada. I was in charge of all animations, graphics, and video editing. The show's animation style was influenced by Terry Gilliam's cut-out style on Monty Python's Flying  Circus

Segment 15: Hardcase technologies

Mock project for Hardcase Technologies. I love their products and was inspired to model one of their cases one day to build my knowledge of Blender software.
Segment 16: Space Particles
A short animation I created after modelling and rigging the character in Blender. Also deepening my knowledge of lighting and particle systems.
Segment 17: Sex Ed with Jada Intro

The second interation of the Youtube show "Sex Ed with Jada" Formerly "Sex History with Jada" Slap stick cut-out style animation. The goal was to make a funny and short intro with the new show branding.
Segment 18: Sex History with Jada - Splat Intro
A pitch for a possible show segment intro combining live action with After Effects.

Segment 19: ePlata - Set your money free

The last shot of the ePlata commercial. I had the plane, the main character of the short, come out of their phone and literally carry them around the world as the finale, emphasizing their slogan, "Set your money free."
Segment 20: Wait! Espresso!

3D character animation in Maya. Because espresso sharing espresso is important. Audio clip from the classic movie Young Frankenstein.
